"Thanks Luke for the great great tech morning today. Great to meet and chat with everyone. And thank you Liz all the delicious refreshments. Thoroughly enjoyable."
"Thanks Stephen, I know, there's some wild stuff on that Modified Triumphs' group. Would love to put a 6 in it. So maybe after this Saturdays tech workshop with Luke Fenner I'll be all set to go : ) Are you going?
What have you got yourself Stephen?"
"Thanks Stephen. The brown 72 by far the better, pretty original, and overdrive. The green, a little flash but as I got it. Had a nut and bolt rebuild before my time. I've actually got another Mk4 in my shed! (fixer upper) and a 68 Herald : )"
"It's a 6 wanna be Stephen. Just 4 pots! As I got it. Its all growl, not a lot of bite. Need to get that sorted. Hopefully Luke's tech morning this Saturday will help."
"Thanks for that Derek, I did not go in the end. Would like to hear how you got on though. Hope to see you at a meet sometime. Thanks for the tip on the Stoneleigh flights. Cheers Derek. Colm"
"About 10 of the Lads/Lassies go over for Stoneleigh most fly out on Saturday afternoon and stay over Saturday Night and travel home Sunday at about 8pm it's about 1/2hr from Birmingham Airport and it is only on for the Sunday.........Triumph and MG…"
Hi Simon, that's right, Charlie. Couldn't have got a vehicle off a nicer, more honest, decent fella. And his garage, pristine. Will have to up my game now. Thanks Simon.
Bren, I see also you're a Clontarf man. I'm from Sutton, moved down here 2020. My wife is a Laois woman. You'll definitely have to come down to the show!
Thanks Bren, the 'tasty' Spitfire has a lot of growl, but not too much bite. I've gone mad into Spitfire's over the last year. Picked up another one last weekend in Ferns. This one much better, a '72 1300 with overdrive. Drives very nicely, only had it on a short run so far. You should try to make the Ballinakill Show, 27th Oct. in the Portlaoise shopping centre. I joined their club also this year. Hopefully see you there. Cheers Bren. Colm.
Welcome to the TCOC Colm I see from your avatar that you have a very tasty looking Spitfitre and you are based in a nice part of the country, in the past we (Club Runs) have seen us down your way I.e Durrow show - sadly no longer an event, and more recently our annual Poker Run was to Dunamaise (not exactly Abbeyleix but nearby) anyhow as the top down driving season is closing in I hope to meet you soon at some event.
