Ahh... viaducts.. I love em!
At the RIAC on Sunday morning (9/4/2019) I was asked what viaduct we had come across - so after much 'googling' I have identified it as Dent Head Viaduct (10 arches, 100 ft high and 199 yards long)- when we left here we joined up with the rest of the gang at Ribblehead (24 arches, 104 ft high and 440 yards long)
Dent Head Viaduct was built between 1869 and 1875 for the Midland Railway Company. The viaduct is built from massive blocks of Dent marble and crosses over the quarry that produced it.
