Universal Joint Replacement

12304296900?profile=RESIZE_400xEarlier this year I heard a clicking and whirring noise coming from rear of spitfire at low speeds. Luckily I was on a Triumph run and a few mins later the diagnosis was a failing UJ. I got home and the next day on closer inspection I found some looseness in one of the UJ's. I also spotted one of the rear metal straps on the propshaft had slipped. Thanks to Alan Q for donating some new straps I was able to fix them after a few attempts ! I checked Haynes Manual and viewed a couple of informative U tube videos- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0sA2rwtAGJA&pp=ygUgVHJpdW1waCBzcGl0ZmlyZSB1bml2ZXJzYWwgam9pbnQ%3D to guide me on the removal of rear wheel and half shaft. I got a new UJ from Chic Doig and after a couple of attempts managed to fit the new UJ. It took a few hours over a weekend.
