Turlough Hill power station is 50 years in operation this year.

I have spoken with relevant personnel and a tour is to be scheduled for the TCOC. I'm awaiting precise details on date and numbers permitted. Members interested need to put names on list and as usual it's on a first come first served basis

I hope to have the missing details within the next week

Pat, it appears out of 31 members who expressed an interest only 7 cannot make it; why not run with the 24 on the 4th July? I imagine if you request another date that might not suit another cohort of members? Cant please everyone, eh. Just my tuppence worth. PiBren

UPDATE

The plant is to be open for public tours during Heritage Week - Aug 17 to 24. 

As an alternative, I've discussed a private Tour for Thursday, July 4th. This date is being offered exclusively for the TCOC alone ( undertaken by staff members) as opposed to Aiken Promotions Tour Guides in August. This is a real once off exclusive and should not be missed. I need to finalise car parking arrangements as spaces are tight so car pooling many be required. This for another day.

Please check your diaries to see how this sits with you. I need to get back to the "powers" that be with confirmation of the date. I realise this may mean people having to take time off work but there are no tours possible at weekends.
