Turlough Hill

Turlough Hill power station is 50 years in operation this year.

I have spoken with relevant personnel and a tour is to be scheduled for the TCOC. I'm awaiting precise details on date and numbers permitted. Members interested need to put names on list and as usual it's on a first come first served basis

I hope to have the missing details within the next week

Latest update 

I've explained our problem with July 4 to the relevant "powers" at the plant and they are open to accommodating us the following Thursday July 11. I know it won't suit everybody with work commitments etc., but we can only be accommodated on weekdays.

I've now arranged a tour for 11.am to finish at 12.30 so I can arrange off site early breakfast on lunch as required. 
Given the nature of the plant design, we must wear robust footwear to get about and we must be able to evacuate via steel steps in the event of a fire alarm.

I've also agreed parking inside and if necessary just outside the facility.

If mobility is an issue for anybody, we are offered a slightly different experience including a limited drive 'round the plant as is possible with a staff member.

I will leave all the original names on the list for now so please just respond if the 11th July is not a runner for you.
