TCOC Sub update 2021

Folks,

As we all know, due to a current state of lockdown and it is looking like it will last for some time to come (roll on the vaccine), the committee had to consider what to do about 2021 membership.

We know that we have had very little club activity in 2020 and the first half of 2021 is not looking any better, therefore, we have agreed to suspend the sub due in January this year.

The main expense for the club would be to publish and post out all copies (normally about 50% are hand delivered) of the magazine.  This would cost in the order of €600+ per issue to print and post.  So, we have also agreed with Pat to suspend the issuing of the Herald until the club gets back running.

The club had enough funds in hand to support web site, insurance and other incidentals for the year or until we get back up and running.  We will review this decision as the year progresses and if (hopefully) we get back running events, meeting for runs in the second half of the year, we may consider a limited sub requirement or some other arrangement to maintain the club finances until next year.

Here's to getting the club back running and us out enjoying our cars and the comradery that we are missing so much.

  • Hey Luke, I've just realised I paid my sub too

  • Thanks Tony. You be covered when ever we re start.

  • I paid mine through the club website already.

  • it will take more than a sub to get my 3 on the road, but every bit helps.  Congrats to committee on making decisions early, commiserations to Luke on his Dolomite rebuild fund.(10% of subs). As a wise sage said to me in 2010 , as I looked up from a bottomless pit, "This to, will pass". Get into personcave (note how I am gender neutral) , get working on your TRiumph , and maybe (hope) , just maybe you can keep up with me over the Gap.
