  • The more you chop the more you find. This horror story is what I found today when I cut out the rust on the inner wing of the SE. The other picture is what this area is supposed to look like

      It does'nt prevent corrrosion from inside, it only hides it.  I have learned to multiply the size of any rusty area by five. This started as a hole in the floor the  size of a coke can.

  • 10742948674?profile=RESIZE_930xThis is what started as a small rusty  hole in the passenger footwell of the black Dolomite. The last picture is of a typical UK get-it-through- the -MOT patch. As you can see, it was welded over rusty  steel, which has been snacking away merrily on the patch for years. There are other horrors revealing themselves, including a sheet of zintec bent roughly to shape over the wing end and covered in filler. Plus more chicken wire than Cappoquin Chickens!
