Rear hub Puller

Once upon a time, in a land far far away,  where people shook hands and stood within six feet of each other without fear, there was a Triumph Club that had a puller for the Herald/Vitesse rear hubs. Folk would borrow it from the committee, and then give it back. It was known as the Holy Hub Puller of Clonskeagh, and had magical powers enabling humble mortals to perform feats of superhuman ability (such as getting the rear hubs off a Triumph.)

Sadly, it seems to have vanished into the mists of time, along with Blackbeard's treasure, the third Secret of Fatima, and Atlantis.

Before I call in Dan Brown, does anybody remember it, and have any idea where it went? I think it is lost forever.

I am about to tackle the rear wheel bearings on the SE, and do not want to go down the road of stone age methods of removing the old bearings.

I am prepared to get one, and if I do, it will be on offer to lend to needy members, subject to conditions.

    • Niall; would you happen to have it in your possession at this current moment in time?

  • The only one I ever saw / used was owned by one Mr. Calerary. I do not believe the club ever owned one in my time (more importantly,  I never paid for one!)
