Rad Cap disintegrated

Folks, down in Connemara on the annual WAW outing. Checked the rad water level and radiator cap disintegrated due to rust. Best Chinese metal. Anyway, have managed to fit all bits back together as a temp fix until I can get to halfords in Galway. I thi k I have a seal. Any suggestions in the interim 70kms? Kevin

    Bit of stick and a rag under it .....anything to keep water in!
