Like any beloved classic car and despite many years of careful, respectful love and attention, the well maintained TCOC machine is in dire need of an overhaul to keep it fit for purpose for the next generation of proud Triumph owners. A Newly Commissioned TCOC must undergo a thorough and rigorous bumper to bumper evaluation and just like our TRusted steeds do, the Club itself will benefit immensely from this honest assessment, subsequent repairs and ongoing maintenance
Based on agreed NCTCOC guidelines, the following might constitute a checklist of essential works to be undertaken:
Worn or broken parts to be repaired and if repairs are not possible then removed and replaced
Oil and other fluids to be refreshed. Oil level to be monitored and kept topped up as this is the lifeblood of any machine
Root out any sneaky stuff like annoying noise makers, rattles, bangs and leaks
Headlights to be tested to ensure they spot potentially dangerous hazards on the sometimes dimly lit roads ahead
Finally, a bumper to bumper valet to clean out any impurities and individual member responsibility is required to keep it clean attractive and presentable to the public at large, other car clubs and potential new members of all genders, ages and other persuasions.
