Got an email from Brian Dooley from the Lions Club Malahide ( see email below ) if anyone who normally attends this show would like to give an opinion on his request I will pass it on .

I hope you are well.
I am glad to say that this year's Show is almost certain to proceed on Sunday 22 May and planning has started.
I would be grateful for your view on something. The cost of lunch in hotel has gone up and thus far we do not have a commercial sponsor to help keep costs down. How far in your view could we go with registration fee i.e could we go to €20 or €25 before putting owners off? Should we make lunch a separate option at additional cost? Is lunch even necessary?
As you know we have always tried to use the venue to maximum effect and run a quality event so we feel the lunch is an essential part of the day and adds to the convivial atmosphere.
Would be grateful for Off the record thoughts of you and TCOC co-members on this and any other aspects of the Show.

Thanks guys for the feed back. I will send on the general opinion to Brian. I have attended this event since its conception , have all the plaques to prove it. Unfortunately I will be away on holidays on the proposed date.
Agree with all comments and great to hear show will go on
A lot of car events this direction are generally now asking for driver donations rather than an entry fee, it's the fairest way to do it,especially now that fuel prices are absolutely mental.
It's always a great show, as far as costs are concerned methinks a entry fee separate is the way to go, people will still meet up in te hotel and order food or snacks !
I agree with Niall 20 /25 will put people off . Tea coffee cakes 🎂 🥮 🍥 🥞 sambos perhaps.
I think the €20/25 will put people off I'm for keeping it simple with a Tea/Coffee and maybe a Sandwich or as they say Bring your own.
