Lockdown projects

As we all head off into the abyss of another lockdown, I find it hard to stay motivated. It’s all too easy after the day working for home to be tempted to sit in front of the TV and veg the evening away. Then 6 weeks later, time has slipped by without anything to show for it!What I am proposing is that people take on a lockdown project and share it with your fellow club members. Then post updates to your project to encourage yourself and others to keep moving on your project and have something to show for your lockdown. It can be anything, learn to do something on your car, overhaul your carbs, paint your wheels, clean your garage, build a garage, work on your TR3 rebuild “or pre-war Dolomite”, knit some seat covers, write an article for the Mag., research your favorite racing driver, research Triumphs built in Ireland, learn a instrument, jump in a lake. Some items should not be considered…..Drinking to much, all the positions of the Karma Sutra, as they should be targets all the time……do something different and share the experience! Be brave, share a plan, post pictures (not of the Karma Sutra positions) and updates . Encourage yourself & motivate others…….I’ll start. I was looking for a Standard Triumph sign to put up in my garage. Quick search on-line should that original dealer ones go for mad money. Not to mention that Triumph sale signs from the 70’s are ugly!! So I have decided on the design below. I will scale it up to about 70” width and letters of 3” tall. That’s my plan…..what’s yours?

You need to be a member of Triumph Classic Owners Club Ireland to add comments!
