Inchicore Works

As discussed and agreed at today's meeting, I will begin working on the possibility of having an event at Inchicore Works in 2024. I will keep members updated on progress in this regard over the coming months. Numbers may be restricted so I suggest interested members add their names to the list on this post and should a restriction apply then, in fairness, first come, will be first served! In the absence of a specific event date at this point, expressions of interest are acceptable.

Update 11/05

Great News on this event. By special and unique arrangement, it will be possible for the TCOC to visit this magnificent operation spanning 73 acres of Ireland's Transportation history. This visit is being made possible through the influence of fellow TCOC member Tony Kavanagh. Tony spent 39 years in Inchicore Works and he very kindly agreed to explore options on our behalf. 
Next step is to agree a date and I'm suggesting August 8.

Other date options could possibly be 

Aug 22, or any Monday to Friday date in Sept 

I propose to opt for Aug 8 and to run this by Tony in the first instance for acceptance. The fall back date options may suit the Works better.

Hopefully, the agreed date will suit most if not all interested members on the above list.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Tony for his help in making this event possible. Thanks Tony!
