Inchicore Works

As discussed and agreed at today's meeting, I will begin working on the possibility of having an event at Inchicore Works in 2024. I will keep members updated on progress in this regard over the coming months. Numbers may be restricted so I suggest interested members add their names to the list on this post and should a restriction apply then, in fairness, first come, will be first served! In the absence of a specific event date at this point, expressions of interest are acceptable.

Thanks

Pat

  • Update ( Refreshments)

I have just been speaking with Tony and he's told me and with the kindness of generosity and hospitality that the management/ Staff will provide Teas/ Coffees/ Biscuits on arrival and following the main tour will further provide Teas/ Coffees and Sandwiches. This will give us all the opportunity to chat with staff and not to be rushing off.

In return, we should bring as many Classics as possible as the staff would like to see them and take photos etc. We will have some really good photo ops on the day. Staff also want a group shot so please be wearing your Club shirts/ regalia.

Huge thanks to Tony Kavanagh and his former colleagues and contacts!

This magnificent event is less than 2 weeks away. I will update arrangements next Tuesday July 30th. Meantime this note by way of reminder of the date and the most likely time of 11am.

Details of options for pre and post visit refreshments, parking, health and safety, etc., will be posted here on Tuesday.

Final master list of all attendees now complete and closed.

I believe this will be high up the leaderboard of enjoyable and memorable Club events yet organised
