Thought this might be of use to someone. I'm restoring a 1974 124 Sport Coupe and the heater core was leaking into the cabin. The heating control valve had corroded away completely and in turn corroded the two studs fixing the valve to the heater core. I tried all of the usual European suppliers to get a replacement, there are a lot of similarly sized cores but hard to be sure you are getting something that will fit, also the best delivery I could get for the one I did come across that was the exact correct dimensions wasn't available until Oct/Nov. I should have done this first of course, I contacted a local radiator repair outfit, Kilcock Radiator Repairs, I just didn't think they'd do heater cores. They are no connection to me at all, I'm just throwing it out there, what a job. 4 days, recored the heater, replaced the corroded studs, made and fitted new sides and pressure tested, €150. Outstanding service and quality, I'd rather have this than any spurious Chinese manufacturer replica and the price was the same. If you need standard or weird and wonderful, Kilcock Radiator Repairs based in Clane, County Kildare, I found them superb.

That's a great job for sure especially when trying to repair obsolete parts. A lot of the heater cores in my Heralds could do with replacing, I think I will contact them, thanks for the tip and good luck with your 124.
A real boon for us, esp for non std or hard to get - ta Niall for spreading the good news , and to be fair you weren't robbed. PiBren
I used them before, when they where in Kilcock, when to use them some time ago and they where gone......now I know they moved to Clane. Only in Ireland could Kilcock Radiator Repair be in Clane!
Yeah same thought struck me! I too went to Kilcock some years ago and they were gone but I just googled the other day just in case and boom! 1k away!
