Car maintenance course

Club member Alan Egan has come up with the idea of putting on a series of basic car maintenance courses catering for club members that would like to get a bit more ‘hands on’ with their cars. The courses will be centred around the basics of changing fuel/coolant hoses, checking wheel bearings, diagnosing basic ignition/electrical faults and other basic but common faults that could be easily identified and solved with minimal tools at the side of the road or driveway....avoiding the need to call the dreaded breakdown service.

The idea is that participants will come along to the course which, will be similar to a club technical morning. Each participant will be instructed how to carry out certain repairs, or to diagnose an 'unknown' fault on their own vehicle. Alan has kindly volunteered his free time and vast expertise to instruct participating members in these procedures. Niall Power has kindly offered the use of his property for the technical session.

Please express your interest in participating by texting me on 0864013724 (if you have not done so already).

Regards,

Paddy.
