Can we believe Mee-hall Martin?

There are a lot of blank pages in the blue 'RED' book since last September, so it would be welcome if April 12th brings the 'unlimited travel within your own county' condition and on checking the HSE website this is the bit I need to consider having a Monthly Meeting at the end of April

From 26 April (subject to prevailing public health situation)

Activity

Guidance

Outdoor sport

Outdoor sports facilities can reopen (for example: pitches, golf courses and tennis courts, other facilities as appropriate)

Outdoor attractions

Outdoor visitor attractions can reopen (for example: zoos, open pet farms, heritage sites). Amusement parks are not permitted to open

Underage sport

Underage non-contact outdoor training and dancing in pods of 15 or fewer can restart

Funerals

Maximum attendance at funerals will increase to 25

With no let up on restaurants/pubs, I fear group meetings are not to be encouraged, and the big challenge for us would be to find a location at the borders of Kildare Meath and Dublin, (actually in a field close to the R149) sorry guys in Wicklow and Wexford can't include you - so watch this space

  • Only two turned out in the rain yesterday but full marks to Tony (and clan) who proceeded on a north county run in the Special Edition. 8891987881?profile=RESIZE_930x

  • I will be there anyway Bren but not sure if the Spitfire is the ideal car for the day..K.

    • What a poxy Day thankfully I'm Working.

  • Great Tony and anybody else interested in that spin.  Meet 12 on Monday in Airside carpark to follow Tony, if you can, for a TCOC cup of tea in Balrothery. Yippee.

    • As long as a huge gang does not turn up, we should be ok. After all, you can't catch covid sitting in your own car.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY: Current indications suggest Monday will be overcast and quite breezy, possibly windy in parts, with a spell of rain spreading from the west to all areas.

This forecast should ensure the Bank holiday traffic will be light

    • Anyone going for a spin tomorrow?

Let me know or I will go put on my push bike or join the Porsche club.

    • read the above

    • Great hopefully see you there if its not peeing out

  • Tony, let's try for a Monday meet in the upper car park in Airside Swords. You pick and post a time that might suit as I have no plans. Maybe we can encourage a few others to join our 2M coffee//Tea outing. MacD nearby will facilitate take outs if the home kettle is overused.  A little spin would be welcome and a chat very welcome. Bring stories. I will make up a few yarns...K

    • Ok how about 12 noon? I know a scenic route on quiet back roads which will finish up at the Applegreen in Balrothery
