Folks
Plan for Monday Bank Holiday Run.

Meet Johnstown Garden centre, just off the N7 outside Johnstown, at 10 O'Clock for breakfast.

Leave at 11am to drive to Kilcullen town hall, where we will have a special viewing of the two part video made about the Gordon Bennet Rally that was held in 1903. Each part is only about 15 minutes long but is worth the watch.....See who can spot one of our club member in the back ground of some of the modern footage!. The film will be shown in Kilcullen Town Hall cinema!

We can go for a spin to St. Bridge's well afterwords if there is an interest.

Thanks

Luke

  • Great run, my lad Max enjoyed the video and drive.

    Thanks Luke

  • What a   great way to  celebrate ST Brigids day with a well organised run ...Well done to Luke for organising  the Bank holiday event and run around the bye roads of the CUrragh of Kildare.

The start with breakfast at Johnstown Garden Centre set us up for an half an hour drive via Punchenstown race  course to our first stop at the Town Hall Kilcullen to Veiw the Gordon  Bennett rally. We had reserved car parking at the venue which created some interest among the locals. The staff were excellant and  the first part of the film was centered on the the 1903 event. The second video was taken at the june bank holiday 3 day classic car at the Heath .The Triumph marque was well repesented with entries from UK and  TCOC.

After the film we headed over to St Brigids well via the Curragh Race Course and the Japanise Gardens, Being the day that was in it the weather was fine and  we had a most enjoyable drive through the Kildare country side.#

    thanks all,

    Sean and Mairead.
