After 8 activities

Just planning some activities for after June 8 whilst respecting social distance and distance from home guidelines.
we will be able to travel 20 Km from home. Most likely there'll have to be both a Southside and Northside separate activity.

Essentially, we selec5 a destination that's within the 20 km restriction say Powescourt or Sally Gap. Everybody brings their chair, flask and sangers. We sit around for an hour or so for the chat and catchup. We should keep the groups to a max of 10/12 for it to work successfully.

we can check the weather early in the week, select a day and a meeting point and off we go!

Perhaps Tony might arrange some activities for our Northside Brethern?

Who wants to play?

  • Just a word of thanks to my son Sean. My old PC sat down, and he installed a new hard drive, upgraded me to Windows 10, and fixed the increasingly ropey internet connection. Otherwise, I was stuck.

  • Right.

The run is Sunday June 14th. Meet at the Coachmans Inn on the Airport Road Cloughran at 11.30. Weather forecast: Sunny spells and possibly thundery showers. Open toppers bear this in mind. See you there!

  • Sorry folks. Can I change the run to Sunday 14th June, as not everyone can make Saturday. The plan is to meet up maybe Coachmans Inn (nice and empty ) and head off on the well worn track via Ballyboughal with a stop at the Naul for Coffee, Tea, photos. then head off to Balrothery and back to Pipers via the old N1. Pipers does not open until 4.30, so would a later start (1.30 ) do? or would you prefer an earlier start. I can extend the run via the Nags Head and past Mr Darcy's if you like. Good roads and not too much traffic.

  • Pat, does the cho cho ho there?

put urself and anal al on it.

  • Donegal Tom, hard luck!!

  • What county is Pipers in ?

  • Hi folks

I was wondering if anmyone is interested in a run on Saturday 13th June. It appears we may be allowed to travel within our own county from Monday. This opens things up a bit for us. I was planning a trip to Pipers in Portrane for Saturday afternoon, as they open a t 4.30 pm. Any feedback welcome.

  • I will be working on the 11th, but would Saturday 13th be ok?

  • Count me in for Pipers, I think I even have wipers in the shed.

ok, I'm not good with numbers or distance, but I agree with Tony, I think pipers for Thursday 11 can't come soon enough. After all we are going to consume food which is essential. Bring chairs and sit out on the green in front of pipers
