A run?

Hi there.

I am proposing a run for Sunday April 7th. Leaving the Brock Inn on the North road at 10.00 a.m. and going to visit the Tin Church Laragh Co. Monaghan. It's approximately 55 miles away along the N2. If it clashes with anything else, do let me know. 12390059900?profile=RESIZE_400x

  • Was disappointed to miss this run as initially I opted to go, so when Tony announced it was cancelled I hastily sought out an alternative event and spotted through the IVVCC link supplied by our Stephen (Grant) a breakfast meet in the RIAC so signed up for that with PiBren, very sociable morning. So next time I won't be too hasty to make alternative arrangements

  • Hi Tony, sorry should have replied sooner. Please add my name to the list for the breakfast & spin.  Sounds great. Thanks.. Kevin

  • Great suggestion Tony.  Hope to be there .

  • I am in Tony, they do a good brekkie in the Brock Inn too?

  • Agree with Bren - well chosen by Tony and just to say it's not just the Tin Church so bring your Picnic as there is so much more as illustrated by the enclosed photo

now all that needs to happen is favourable weather on the day ! again well done Tony

P.S. bring coins or notes for the DONATIONS box, they also have a QR code for the techies that use e money

  • TwoBoysBren had some business up counTRy, managed to divert to Laragh - can highly recommend Tony's choice of venue,it's  a beautiful old fashioned oasis of calm, surrounded by a fast flowing sTReam. Nice stained glass and some original fittings within- bring your own pew though, mind there are benches outside so bring a packed lunch and a flask of tea.

we met the couple of local lads who have taken a 25 year lease on it from the Church of Ireland brethren, its deconsecrated so available for tcoc agm s, monthly meetings, Christmas parties etc - there even a loo on site!

so....use it or loo se it........( shite joke, pi......)

    • Church Information. Mass times are subject to change to please confirm with parish office/website directly. Mass Times.
    • Saturday: 11:00am | 6:00 pm Vigil
    • Sunday: 11:00am.

that would take care of the "spirituality" and the moral fibre well go for a vegetarian option for the fibre and as for the moral bit ????

  • That's the problem with the modern world, sacrificing Mass on the alter of the griddle and the deep fat fryer, in the name of a Breakfast Roll.........it may be stubstancial but spiritually sadly lacking in moral fibre........

  • Never mind Mass Bren - Brock Inn opens at 9 for brekkie - ask me how I know that,

see my posting on this site 2 years ago
