Folks
would there be any interest in a run to Fore Abbey Co. Westmeath on Sunday 23rd August?
Joan in the coffee shop says if I ring ahead she can make arrangments for us incliding a free tour of the site.
It takes about an hour and a bit from the Deadmans.

A budding Lord Lichfield is our Niall (with his new 'bluetooth' camera) - nobody is safe !!!!
A great turnout and a tribute to Tony - another successful run, and it didn't finish with heading home after Fore Tony declared that he didn't want to chance the M3 home so himself, meself and Nialler headed back across country picking up the Taín Trail - more about that in the Herald but here are a few pickie wickies
Nialler looking like the 'Local Squire' in a dashing waistcoat probably acquired in the House of Oxfam or other establishment of note !!!
a possible site for 'wimmin' - Lough Lene was too crowded
a picture to compare notes - Niall has the same lamp but his has glass!!
P.S Tommee the water in Lough Lene looked most uninviting and any body getting into swim were togged out in heavy duty wet suits - so in your dreams 'skinny dipping - HA!
More in the Herald when the report is written
Brennie tries the Legover Movement he reckons if Kev can do it so can he,Olive will be impressed I'm sure😂
Thanks Tony for organising the run . Very enjoyable and no rain !!
Skinny dipping pickie wickies ?
Great day out Tony and thanks for organising both event and weather. Really enjoyed the good company as usual in the TCOC.
Thanks to everyone who turned up today for our wee run. I think it went well, Jane (not Joan) in the coffee shop was very good to us, opening the lower part of the building for us and treating us to a short film on the history of the site. Brucie bonus: free tour of Trim town! (unintentional).
Anyway hope you all enjoyed it, and everybody got safely home. Niall, Bren Fitz and myself took a short tour of the surrounding area, Meath/Westmeath is a lovely place, full of hidden interesting thingies.
Thanks Tony had a Great Day and it's the first time I've been in TRim Town.
Hopefully not the last
