Update - car is now on ZV plates
Wonder if the VRT and other Duties are paid and if not who's responsble to pay them also if it's paid can it be reclaimed if it goes back to the UK.
It's been for sale for a while so I'd say it's all
up for negotiation Niall if someone is genuinely interested. The car has had a lot of money spent on it.
I think if a car is re exported then the VAT is certainly reclaimable. For current day imports it's the VAT which is the big cost so that's good. The duty is small and unless it was flagged at the point of entry as a temporary import I'd say that could be a struggle and maybe for the money not worth it. Reclaiming anything that was imported pre Brexit, small money and hardly worth the massive effort I'd imagine.
